Wall-E Review

The Pixar Strength
Wall-E is an endearing film. If you are looking for a film with tons of emotions and characters you can fall in love with, then Wall-E is for you. If you are looking for a nice storyline that keeps moving at an excellent pace, then Wall-E is for you. Maybe you like robots or movies that start out with a dismal outlook on the future. Wall-E is for you. The point is, Wall-E is a superb movie that is a film that everyone of all ages can watch.
The Story (No Spoilers)
It has been 700 years since humans have lived on Earth. Currently, they are housed on a large spaceship in space. They are coddled by service robots and allowed to move along on hover-lounges. The humans get fatter and fatter and dumber and dumber. The Earth was left one big planetary dumpster where Wall-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth Class) was left behind to tidy of the planet. Over time, the Wall-Es slowly stopped working, leaving just Wall-E and his pet cockroach. Wall-E likes to collect things and watch romantic musicals, which is what all humans like to do, right? But one day, a surprise in the form of Eve arrives and he instantly falls in love. Eve is there on a "classified directive" and Wall-E finds out the hard way what her mission really is.
How Much Emotion Can You Emote?
You get sucked into the story immediately and into Wall-E's heart. He's lonely and just simply wants someone to love. Don't judge the movie based on the complaints that there is no dialogue in the movie. That's not true. There is some cute banter between Wall-E and Eve and when everyone reaches the orbiting ship, there is more human interaction, so don't fret.
Pixar put so much emotion behind the robots that they have more personality than some humans. The robots are passionate, cute, funny, persuasive, and full of heart. Even the bad ones have great personalities. While the fat humans you do meet are animated, Pixar had Fred Willard do a live action role on video and in any ads that are scattered through the movie. It was cool to see something different in animation, especially something as different as Fred Willard.
The Final Analysis
There are some harrowing moments that might be confusing to some children, but nothing that will distract you. Wall-E is one film, animated or live action, that you don't want to miss. Children will love the robots and the simple humor Pixar places throughout the movie and adults will be amused by some of the nostalgia Wall-E collects. How could Pixar top Finding Nemo? They just did it. Go see this movie...5 out of 5.

The character Wall-E is a rip-off from the 1986 comedy Short Circuit. Check out the google images of Johnny 5!
ha...Johnny 5...I was always amazed with Short Circuit 1&2 in my younger years, especially seeing Johnny form such a relationship with that Sigourney Weaver/Susan Surandon looking woman...i don't know, maybe it was one of the two but I don't remember...anyway, nice review...just another reason to go see it when i get the chance
sounds cool. I'll be on the lookout for it.
I love the visuals in this movie...it took a few viewings, though, for the movie to grow on me. I love the fat gushy bloppy people on the ship...they're so funny to watch, and it's scary, too, thinking that people could really get like that, and they sort of ARE getting like that here on earth (not wanting to get out of their chairs, etc...)

Wow...it TOPS 'Finding Nemo'? That's gotta be, as you say, one fun, touching, cute, well-paced movie! Pixar does it again! I'm so happy that there's still company's committed to making movies like this...and that audiences respond so well!
